Loving self!

When I think back over the course of my life there were times when I did not love myself. I failed to see this at that time because I always felt that I loved me. But life has taught me a valuable lesson! Love does not HURT! Love is gentle, patient and kind according to the word of God. Well, there were times in my life when I may have been patient with others, but I definitely was not patient with myself. I was very critical and condemning towards myself every time I did not line up to what I assumed was expectations of myself and others.

Lacking patience and kindness for myself caused me to spiral out of control and to make some choices that altered the course of my life, but God! One day I recognized that I was losing a winning battle because the victory was won on the cross. I had to stop and recognize the tricks of the enemy and how he was playing me, which caused me to play myself.

Thankfully, God saved me before the enemy could completely destroy me. He almost had me, but God said, "My daughter has suffered enough, it is time to turn her mess into a message!" And I am able to share with you today because I learned how to "Love Me to Life" so that I could avoid living a life that represented death.
